Lord Macaulay, dated the 2nd February 1835


After receiving the email for the 2nd time I wanted to find out if it really was true. It was an email about Lord Macaulay praising India after this visit in 1833.

a quick Google search for:
Lord Macaulay Feb 2 1835

got me the desired results. got me the results I was looking for. It seems like an obvious fraud... well covered at google answers:

the up-loader of the article on Google is either LIAR or "ill informed", true that Lord Macaulay didn't like Indian education system not because he thought it was more best than English education system but because he thought that Indian education system is poor and Science and scholar-ism is best available in English rather than Sanskrit or Persian. he wanted to create Indians by body and color but British by the language, morals and thinking. these people later were known as "Macaulay's children's". but in this era you need to know English otherwise you are doomed to fail.
